Whether you’re ready or not, we are about to enter into the sacred time of Advent – a time we try to slow down and remember the coming of Christ and its meaning. We all know what a challenge that can be. But I believe planning for it will help you prepare and experience Advent more like you want than if you didn’t plan. In this episode I talk you through how to plan your Advent.

My Advent Resources
The Jesse Tree
I made my own Jesse Tree Advent Calendar, but you can buy a kit from Draw Near Designs.
There are a few versions of Jesse Tree readings and ornaments. I use this free one created by a friend. I print a copy of the ornaments per child and they each get to color during the reading. I also print a copy to cut out for the calendar. The kids rotate who gets to color this one.
Something I Didn’t Mention
The past couple years I have grown amaryllis flowers during Advent. This is a bulb flower that is supposed to bloom around Christmas. We have really enjoyed seeing ours grow during the Advent season. I have both ordered these online and found them at my local grocery store.
